Overtyme a.k.a Oliver Twist is a veritable disco addict, delivering a dose of up-tempo energy direct to any wanting dance floor, with his own unique style of cross-blend crunchy electronic music. Fusing all forms of underground disco and tech house, Overtyme is always happy to throw in a few rare gems for good measure. He has prided himself on staying away from the trends and finding his own way to express his art.
Born in Saskatchewan and moving away at an early age. Then getting his first taste of music in Vancouver, BC from which he calls home. He grew up surrounded by many cultural influences from visual arts to broad music sources such as Loudon Wainwright III, Glenn Gould , Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Public Enemy, Run Dmc, Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada & Daft Punk.
With over six years of DJ experience and the last five years in the Controllerism movement, Overtyme has a deep, funky, smooth, wild, and insane style.
He is the brainchild behind OT Designs and has performed beside Artists and DJs such as JELO, Lori J. Ward, T.Orlando, Titus1 and Dr. J to name a few of his favorites.
In September 2011 Overtyme as chosen for the first spot at the Flavorite Production School in Toronto where he spent 2 intensive weeks in the studio with T.Orlando learning all he could to know about making great music. He finished his track by the end of the course and was accepted for a release with flavorite in early 2012. The track is called Sweat Lodge in Parkdale and is a proud representation of his skills and how he embraced the course and his music came alive! First release and ready for more..
